Cookies

This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The Russian version is the governing text: this service is operated under the law of the Russian Federation, and in case of any discrepancy the Russian wording prevails.

A cookie is a small record a site stores in your browser. Below is every cookie Archground may set. The list is complete: if a file is not in the table, we do not set it.

The site has two parts. On the public pages — the main page, the embedded models and the legal documents — you submit nothing and do not sign in to the service. The service opens after you sign in with a code from an e-mail, and it needs one more cookie — the session.

Which cookies are set

We do not list the names of the Yandex Metrica cookies. Yandex's script sets them, and Yandex changes them, not us — a list we wrote down today could be wrong tomorrow.

All three of our cookies are first-party: only this site reads them. What their flags mean, in plain words:

• archground_locale and ag_session cannot be read by scripts on the page (the HttpOnly flag): only the server reads them;
• ag_consent is deliberately not HttpOnly: the page has to read it to decide whether to show you the dialog at all;
• ag_session travels only over an encrypted connection (Secure) and is not sent when you arrive at the site by a link from another site (SameSite=Strict). On the site served over HTTPS, archground_locale and ag_consent also travel only over an encrypted connection, and are sent on arrival from another site only when you follow an ordinary link (SameSite=Lax).

ag_session holds a random session key; the server stores not the key itself but only its HMAC value, so reading the database does not let anyone sign in as you. Signing out deletes this cookie at once.

Yandex Metrica

We use counter no. 111410802. The data it collects is processed by ООО «ЯНДЕКС» (Yandex LLC) on our instruction. The counter loads only on the main page, and only after you press "Accept" — never before, and never after a refusal. It is not on the service's pages, in the embedded models or in the legal documents.

Enabled: click map, link tracking, accurate bounce rate. Session replay (Webvisor) is off — your mouse movement, typing and screen contents are not recorded.

There is no <noscript> tracking pixel on the page. That is deliberate: such a pixel cannot read a consent cookie and would fire even for someone who refused.

We do not sell data, we show no advertising, and we do no profiling that produces legal effects for you.

Consent to visit statistics

By pressing "Accept" in the cookie notice, you consent to the processing of your personal data on the terms of this section. It is your consent to one thing: loading the Yandex Metrica counter on the main page of archground.com and archground.ru, and processing the data it collects. This consent covers nothing else. Signing in to the service is a separate consent with a document of its own.

What data:

• your IP address;
• your browser and device details (the user agent string), and your screen size;
• the addresses of the pages you view on this site, and the address of the page you arrived from;
• an approximate location derived from your IP address;
• clicks on the page and link clicks;
• identifiers that Metrica writes into cookies in your browser.

Your choice itself is stored in the ag_consent cookie: it holds only the choice and the version number of the text you made it against — no identifier, nothing else about you.

Why. One purpose: to find out which parts of the main page are read and understood and which are not, so the ones that are not can be rewritten. The data is used for nothing else.

Legal basis — your consent: Article 6(1)(1) and Article 9 of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 "On personal data".

What is done with the data: collection, recording, storage, use, transfer to Yandex LLC, which processes it on the operator's instruction, and deletion. The processing is automated. The data is kept in the Yandex Metrica service for the period its terms set.

How long it lasts. Consent lasts twelve months from the moment you give it; after that you are asked again. Some browsers delete such cookies sooner — you are then asked sooner.

Web server logs are kept to run the site itself and are not covered by this consent; they are described in the personal data processing policy and under "What is not a cookie" below.

Nothing non-essential loads before you choose

Most cookie notices are silent about this, so plainly: until you answer, Yandex Metrica is not loaded. Not "loaded but anonymised", not "loaded and waiting for permission" — it is simply not on the page.

Which means: if you never answer, you are never counted. Dismissing the dialog, leaving the page, or ignoring the question are all working options, not deferred consent.

How to refuse

Press "Only necessary" in the dialog. That is one click, it carries the same weight as "Accept", and it is not hidden behind extra screens.

A refusal is honoured: statistics will not load this time, and will not load on later visits while your answer stands. The essential cookies in the table above keep working either way — without them we cannot hold your language choice, your refusal itself, or your sign-in to the service.

How to change a recorded choice

Change my choice — this link opens the main page, forgets the choice you made (it deletes the ag_consent cookie) and shows the dialog again, so you can answer afresh. Deleting the ag_consent cookie in your browser's settings for this site (or clearing the site's cookies entirely) does the same.

Withdrawing a consent you have given takes effect going forward: Metrica stops loading. Data collected before you withdrew stays in the Yandex Metrica service until the period its terms set runs out. You can also withdraw consent by writing to sck.spb@yandex.ru.

You can also stop Metrica collecting data in the browser itself — with the "Yandex Metrica blocker" add-on that Yandex publishes.

If we materially change the wording of the question or of this section, the version number in ag_consent changes and we ask everybody again. An answer given to different wording is consent to that wording, not to this one.

If your browser blocks cookies

A browser-level block applies here too: we will not be able to store anything. There are three practical consequences. Your language choice will not persist between visits, so the page will work the language out again each time. Your cookie answer will not be stored, so the dialog will appear every time you open the main page — statistics still will not load, because an answer we cannot read counts as no consent. And you will not be able to sign in to the service: without the ag_session cookie the server cannot recognise your session.

On blocking third-party cookies specifically: that already matches our default behaviour — before you consent there are no third-party cookies here.

What is not a cookie

The web server keeps request logs: the IP address, the time, the address requested, the address of the page the request came from, and the user agent. The log starts afresh every day, and the 14 previous daily files are kept — about two weeks. That is needed to run the site, it has nothing to do with cookies, and refusing cookies does not affect it. See the personal data processing policy for details.
